Did you know the first permitted gay parade *in the world* took place on Hollywood Boulevard in 1970? 🏳️‍🌈
@lapride is returning to its roots when the LA Pride Parade steps off at Hollywood & Cahuenga today!

For her contributions to the LGBTQ community, Jewel Thais-Williams was named the Grand Marshal of the 2016 parade. Opened by Jewel in 1973, @catchonela became nationally renowned as a pioneering LGBTQ disco, and welcomed everyone from Madonna to Chaka Khan, Sammy Davis Jr, Rick James and the "Queen of Disco," Sylvester. 🪩

We are so honored to be hosting the 10th Art Beyond the Glass at this legendary venue in two weeks! Tickets are now on sale at the link in profile 🎟

Cheers @andredarlington for sending “Booze & Vin Cheers @andredarlington for sending “Booze & Vinyl Vol. 2” and the Matching Game! 🙏

As many of you know, the original “Booze & Vinyl” by André Darlington and Tenaya Darlington (@runningpressbooks, 2018) inspired an annual series of posts, where I ask music nerds in the bar industry to share their favorite albums and recipes for paired cocktails. (Link to this year’s post in bio 👀)

“Booze & Vinyl Vol. 2” spans 70 more great records and 140 cocktails, from the 1950s to today. Organized by themes like Rockin’, Beats, Mellow, and Jazzy & Bluesy, each entry features liner notes on the album and two drink recipes that complement the music. (You had me at “A Love Supreme” 🎷)

As with the original book, Volume 2 features gorgeous photos by @varneyphoto and beautiful graphic design inspired by the albums.

The Matching Game includes 100 full-color printed cards to match 50 sets of great music + boozy beverage pairings; and an 88-page book with 50 recipes.
