Meaning “artisanship through a diversity of making,” Tsukuriwake features the foundational pillars of Yamazaki Single Malt Whisky, bottled at 48% ABV 🥃
(L to R)
Puncheon - the “heart” of Yamazaki (puncheon = 480-liter American oak casks)
Spanish Oak - “depth enhancer” gives Yamazaki its mature fruit notes with malt whiskies aged in oak casks from Northern Spain
Mizunara - Yamazaki’s “quintessential Japanese character and elegance” comes from malt whiskies long-matured in Mizunara casks - the rare Japanese oak takes 200 years to mature 😮
Peated Malt - a “hidden accent” that imparts smoky, earthy notes

The “Chariots of the Gods” mashup includes a colossal Olmec head as the Lunar Module Eagle; Neil Armstrong’s spacesuit is reimagined as a Coatlicue statue; his life support backpack is a giant heart attached to circuitry; and the feet of the LM are gold hubcaps. Oh and the Earth is on fire in the background 🌎🔥

The brothers work with everything from blown glass to lenticular printing - their art has been interpreted through the lenses of border art and Chicano art, reflecting their tongue-in-cheek sense of humor and interest in technology and pop culture.

Is there another hot dog stand in the country that Is there another hot dog stand in the country that can claim a Pulitzer Prize winning food critic, a generation of punk bands, and the Beastie Boys among its fans? 😎
In a 2004 article for @laweekly, @the_thejgold wrote: "Immortalized by the Descendents, beloved by the Germs, the original Oki-Dog … was to the original ’70s punk rock scene in L.A. what the Brown Derby was to 1940s filmdom." @anthonybourdain - a noted punk fan himself - made the pilgrimage in a Season 1 episode of “A Cook's Tour” 🎸
