RIP Joe Turkel 🙏 Lloyd: What will you be drink RIP Joe Turkel 🙏

Lloyd: What will you be drinking, sir?
Jack Torrance: Hair of the dog that bit me, Lloyd.
Lloyd: Bourbon on the rocks.
Jack Torrance: That'll do her!

Tyrell: The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long - and you have burned so very, very brightly, Roy. Look at you: you're the Prodigal Son; you're quite a prize!
Batty: I've done... questionable things.
Tyrell: Also extraordinary things; revel in your time.

Still buzzing (in more ways than one, ha ha) from Still buzzing (in more ways than one, ha ha) from Sunday - SO great to see everyone at the 10th Art Beyond the Glass, old friends and new! Can’t believe what started as a conversation between me and @zxenos in November 2011 has become such a massive festival 🤩
Follow @abtghq for photos from ABTG X, and be sure to check out the Highlights for a ton of Stories!

🎧 It was truly an honor to spin the closing set in @catchonela’s legendary Disco - played one of my all-time faves, Bedrock’s “For What You Dream Of”; @prince & @madonna (she launched “Music” at Catch One in 2000), and yes, even the Infusion remix of *that* song from @katebushmusic 🔊
Much love to all the ABTG X DJs: @very.chill @jazzyjangsoon @roommizzle in the Disco; @schimekstudios @ian_st._george spinning in The Loft; @wetmustachedjs holding it down in The Underground & kicking off the afterparty; and @colinxmiller @marlosbrando in Jewel’s Room 🙏

Father’s Day 2012: The inaugural Art Beyond the Glass took place at Sadie and raised more than $6,000 for @innercityarts! 🎨

In June 2019, we smashed our previous fundraising record with a $40,000 donation to @beautifyearth. Since its inception, ABTG has donated more than $210,000 to arts-based nonprofits across the country. 🙏

Next Sunday, June 26, our largest event to date will take place from 3pm-7pm at the legendary @catchonela! 🪩
ABTG X will feature 100+ bartenders showcasing their cocktails, paintings, photography, live music, DJing, comedy, magic and more. Proceeds benefit @streetsymph and our new fiscal sponsor, @anotherroundanotherrally. Let’s set another record! 🙌

Did you know the first permitted gay parade *in the world* took place on Hollywood Boulevard in 1970? 🏳️‍🌈
@lapride is returning to its roots when the LA Pride Parade steps off at Hollywood & Cahuenga today!

For her contributions to the LGBTQ community, Jewel Thais-Williams was named the Grand Marshal of the 2016 parade. Opened by Jewel in 1973, @catchonela became nationally renowned as a pioneering LGBTQ disco, and welcomed everyone from Madonna to Chaka Khan, Sammy Davis Jr, Rick James and the "Queen of Disco," Sylvester. 🪩

We are so honored to be hosting the 10th Art Beyond the Glass at this legendary venue in two weeks! Tickets are now on sale at the link in profile 🎟
