On Saturday, April 2nd, Liquor.com presents a Rum Grand Tasting at Caña Rum Bar, hosted by Caña GM Allan Katz and bartender Danielle Crouch. The $65 ticket includes an overview of rum, a guided rum tasting, and rum-based cocktails.

Jonathan Gold recently hosted his second annual Union Station Speakeasy Cocktail Party, featuring cocktails by the bars of 213 and gourmet bites from some of L.A.’s top restaurants. The event was a fundraiser for Zócalo Public Square, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit that provides a nonpartisan forum to prominent thinkers and doers via lectures, panels, salons, screenings, webzine and annual conferences.

Earlier this summer, Cruzan Rum launched its latest expression, a spiced rum called Cruzan 9. The new Cruzan derives its name from its nine-spice blend of vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, mace, allspice, pepper and juniper. The number nine is also a nod to the nine districts of St. Croix, home to the historic Cruzan distillery.
