Win a VIP Prize Package to RAW: In the Mix

After a few tumultuous days last month when its existence was in doubt, the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk returns this Thursday, October 14th after receiving funding to continue its monthly schedule. On Thursday night, Elevate Lounge will be the site for RAW: In the Mix, a showcase of local talent in film, fashion, music, visual art, hair and makeup, and performance art. I’m more of a photography guy so I’d have to say Friedlander and some guy that lives in San Francisco and does these terrific abstract landscape shots in black and white. I wish I could read his signature because we bought the prints so long ago I’ve forgotten his name. šŸ™

My favorite artist is Julian Beever who does bizarre 3D sidewalk chalk art. It really blows your mind that his work is a mirror to your childhood…only 100x better then you ever were.
For those interested you can see of his work at:

My favorite artist is Frida Kahlo. I believe she represents the strong Latina women. Her work of art clearly Sends a message of who she was. I loved that she was able to travel the world n keep her culture very alive something that many people loose for many reasons!
